about us
Hey! I’m George (actual name ‘Georgina’ but no one has called me that since Primary School). I’m in my thirties and live in the Leicestershire countryside with my husband and our two lovely puppies, Bailey & Alfie.
I began hiring out props after our own wedding back in 2014 (the way many prop hire companies start out) which eventually evolved into styling. With a background in event management, I understand that those little details are so important and I strive to provide a friendly, relaxed service from the first email through the whole process.
I’ve always had a love of all things old, well loved and full of character and our collection definitely reflects that. We’ve got tons of lovely pre-loved props, perfect for a laid-back, relaxed kinda’ day and some new cool shiny stuff too. We're beyond excited to have taken on a large stock of vintage furniture including a ton of vintage wooden trestle tables, rustic benches and a range of mismatched wooden folding chairs, some dating back to the 1940s. Much of the collection was originally curated by Oliver of The Poppy Trading Company, whose business was lovingly named after his dog Poppy (which is the cutest). It was then acquired a few years on by Vintage Monkeys who continued to provide the Midlands wedding & event scene with beautiful, authentic vintage furniture and now it's with us to look after and add to it's story.
I also really love making things look pretty (and I'm a total control freak) so if you need a bit of help making your day look all kinds of amazing, then I'm here for you. Take a look at our styling page for more details.

And for those interested, here’s a very quick summary of ‘me’; I live in the countryside and it’s my very favourite place to be. I’m very lucky to have fields for miles on my doorstep and you’ll find me there most days walking the dogs. I really love learning new things and I’m constantly signing up for creative courses – recent years have included, sewing, calligraphy, floristry, pottery, interior design (…the list goes on…). I like to ski, slowly and away from cliff edges, reading rubbish chick lit and I took up Pilates a few years ago which means I can drink more gin.
Would love for you to get in touch,
George x
Ps. the photo is me on my wedding day and I absolutely do not look like that on a daily basis. Thank god for hair and make up artists or you definitely would not be seeing my face quite so close up.
